I see that you recommend EquiSync Classic more for beginners, and EquiSync Deepereum more for advanced users. Could you go into a bit more detail?
The main benefit of EquiSync Classic is that it's super simple. You get a set number of preconfigured, highly optimized tracks — that you own forever. You don't need to dig into brainwave entrainment theory, sound / consciousness theory, or anything like that. You don't need to do any testing to find out what you do like. We have done the hard work for you. Plug and play.
The main benefit of EquiSync Deepereum is that it's highly customizable. With the program's powerful configuration options (brainwave frequency, entrainment technique, session length, audio quality, soundscape, & more), Deepereum opens the door to thousands upon thousands of potential track combinations. Generally speaking, this level of control is more for people with experience using deep meditation brainwave audio.
So the natural progression is to use EquiSync Classic first and EquiSync Deepereum later on.
I see that older versions of EquiSync Classic are now available. Is the technology as good as the latest version?
Deep meditative brainwave audio technology never expires. We still have countless people using our initial release over a decade later (with great success!). In fact, some people prefer the older versions over the latest version! The previous releases are now included for free with purchase of the latest version of EquiSync Classic. You are encouraged to try out all EquiSync tracks (regardless of release) and may well discover that you prefer the older version(s) over the latest.
Can you explain what you mean by "advanced user"? Can an experienced meditator use EquiSync Classic and/or a new meditator use EquiSync Deepereum (i.e. the opposite of your suggestion)?
Advanced is a relative word. The brainwave audio, as a pure technology, is advanced for both programs. This is an important distinction to make. The differentiating factor is what level of control you would like.
Do you want to change the type of entrainment stimulus that's in the meditation track? Do you want to research carrier frequencies (off of our site) and spend time testing what works best for you? Do you want to go through a few "nonstarters" before finding that one life-changing track? If the answer is yes then Deepereum is for you. If you are looking for something more turn key then EquiSync Classic is the right choice. The tracks are already built, tested, and ready to go — out of the box.
It's more about what level of involvment you want (or don't want) in the creation process. And so, a meditator who has been practicing for many years but just wants something simple would be better suited for EquiSync Classic. While someone with a "do-it-yourself" personality, yet new to meditation, would be better suited for Deepereum as they are more likely to research / test all of the different configurations. If you are more drawn to one program then go with your intuition.
I have been practicing meditation very successfully without sound for many years. Why should I use a sound based program (like EquiSync)?
While practicing meditation in silence is a definite "must learn" on the meditative journey, if you want to take your practice to the next level, sound is the way to go.
Whether it’s the Tibetans and the singing bowl, the Aboriginal Australians and the didgeridoo, the Japanese Buddhists and the gong, or the Native Americans and the frame drum, through the ages people (across many cultures) have used sound to facilitate, enhance, and deepen the meditative state.
EquiSync is simply the modern embodiment of what has already been practiced for millenia. Countless long time (silent practicing) meditators have successfully used our program for breaking through their own personal meditative plateaus. In the end, you can use both silence and sound in your practice based on your goals / moods / preferences.
Do you recommend focusing on the sound(s) when using your program? At what volume should I listen to your audio?
Hoping to see a better result, people new to EquiSync will sometimes focus their full attention on the entrainment sound(s). Or turn the volume to an uncomfortable setting. Like forcing yourself to fall asleep rather than simply letting yourself fall asleep, focusing intently on the brainwave entrainment sounds can actually produce a "non-meditative" effect (ironically).
So with that in mind, when using our program, the observation of the mind, breath, and body should be the primary focus (i.e. the sensations of the body, the ebb and flow of thought, the inward and outward flow of the breath, etc). And so, it's a bit of a paradox: the LESS you focus on the sound and expect it to "do something" - the MORE the sound will work and the deeper your state of meditation.
While it is indeed designed to make meditation much easier, let the sound be what it was meant to be, a piece of the puzzle and not the whole puzzle. Let the soundscape fade into the background of your awareness and you will see much better meditative results.
What's the best place to start with Deepereum?
With Deepereum's "build your own track" structure, there are a great number of entrainment options available. This can be overwhelming for those new to this technology. If this is the case for you, or if you don't want to spend a great deal of time building/testing tracks (at first), then we recommend the "curated preset" module. Instead of having to choose between a near infinite number of track options, the curated preset section includes 3-5 tracks preselected by our team. Find one that sounds pleasing to the ear. Once you become comfortable with the curated presets, you can then begin modifying the various track options to your liking. In time, you will figure out which brainwaves / entrainment modes / track structures work best in your practice, and you can save the "gems" in your "My Favorites". The curated presets are a great place to start.
Do I need to practice the method of meditation outlined in your material?
Absolutely not! There are many different forms of meditation, all valid. It's often said that the best exercise routine is the one that you actually stick to (whether it's yoga, running, cycling, weightlifting, etc.) Likewise, the best meditation technique is the one that you actually stick to. And so, if you already have a proven meditation technique — or if want to take parts and pieces from our outlined technique making it your own, then great! In the end, all forms of meditation can be successfully combined / enhanced / deepened with our brainwave audio technology. And the more you practice, the more benefits you will see. So find a meditation technique that you like.
Why does the carrier frequency matter? Can certain sounds affect consciousness in very positive ways?
Perhaps you've seen one of the recent viral youtube videos demonstrating the power of "cymatics." In case you haven't, a sand covered metal plate and soundboard are the lone ingredients in this simple yet impressive experiment. And as the experimenter adjusts the frequency (measured in Hz) to certain levels on the audio spectrum, in response, the vibrating sand would "magically" arrange itself into near perfect geometric patterns. It was the incredible uniqueness and beauty of the "snowflake-like" or "crystalline" patterns (with repeatability at their respective Hz frequency) that made the experiment so compelling.
Sound & Consciousness. While these experiments possibly raise more questions than they answer, it does provide some powerfully illustrative evidence to the idea that all sound is (NOT!) created equal. And that, just perhaps, certain sounds vibrated at certain frequencies can indeed impact consciousness in certain ways. With that in mind, for the purpose of building a sound based meditation program, we have chosen frequencies that are most popular among the meditation community, frequencies built upon the most solid mathematical foundation, frequencies that are the most resonant with / congruent to their respective soundscape, and frequencies with the most compelling scientific and anecdotal evidence.
Which Carriers are in EquiSync? Disclaimer: While our program does include the most popular frequencies, including the Solfeggio tones (including the popular 528 Hz tone), and much of the 432 Hz / 444 Hz scale, we make NO claims as to what these sounds can or can't do (like many on the web like to do). This field of research, that is, how certain sound(s) vibrated at certain frequencies can impact human consciousness in certain (perhaps very positive) ways - is largely new, and therefore, largely unexplored by science.
Dedicated Deepereum users have often done in-depth "frequency research" and are successfully leveraging the program to that end. As to the design of Deepereum, the initial release includes a spectrum of 30 carrier frequency profiles, with 3-5 options per soundscape. Generally speaking, we recommend simply choosing carrier profiles that sound the most pleasing to you. Having a variety of carrier frequencies (and entrainment techniques) to choose from has an added benefit, immunity to "habituation." If you find that your meditation routine has gotten stagnant, simply switch to another carrier profile (Hz). When it comes to breaking through meditative plateaus, variety is often the key.
PureTone vs Harmonic MultiLayering. This Deepereum option indicates if the entrainment waveform is built upon one carrier frequency (PureTone), or multiple carrier frequencies (Harmonic MultiLayering). While we won't go into (quite complex) music theory here, you can learn more about how/why this is done by googling "fundamental pitch," "overtones," and "harmonic series." The Harmonic MultiLayering option is built upon "perfect octave" ratios, which as a side note, have been referred to as the "basic miracle of music." The PureTone option is popular among users interested in "experiencing" a particular carrier frequency (i.e. 528 Hz, 417 Hz, 432 Hz, etc.) in its purest form. You are welcome to try both options.
While these frequencies are layered into both EquiSync Classic and EquiSync Deepereum, you will have much more control with the latter program (Deepereum). And so, if frequency selection / modulation is important to you then EquiSync Deepereum is what we recommend.
What are brainwaves? How does EquiSync make deep meditation easier? What are the benefits of alpha, theta, and delta waves (i.e. the brainwaves of meditation)?
Your brain has nerve cells that fire electrical signals day and night, forming distinctive arrangements called brainwave patterns. These highly unique patterns are closely connected to your thoughts, emotions, moods, biological chemistry, everything you do, and really, everything that you are.
Because EquiSync sound technology guides you into different mind states (and various states of meditation) via brainwave entrainment, it's helpful to understand the different frequencies and how they contribute to your state of consciousness. Since most of us spend our days in the beta state, EquiSync excludes beta brainwaves, and entrains only those responsible for the most beneficial states of consciousness: alpha, theta, and delta.
The two charts
on this page illustrate the basic benefits of each brainwave state as well as the basic targeting of the EquiSync programs 1, 2, & 3.
How much time per day do you recommend?
If we had to recommend an "optimal" meditation session length, it would be 20 minutes. Most users find this to be the "sweet spot" on the "time per day -> meditation benefit" curve. With that said, you are encouraged to experiment on your own, focusing on the track length that works best for you. All EquiSync Classic tracks are in the 23-24 minute range, while Deepereum tracks have an option for 10, 20, & 30 minutes.
Note: Because EquiSync is a sound based meditation program, it does take several minutes for the brainwaves to respond to the audio technology (more time for beginners, less for advanced users). For the majority of users, 5-8 minutes is about the minimum for that to occur. And of course, once you do get into a meditative state, you will want to stay there for a certain period of time to really tap into the massive benefits of the practice. And so, 20 minutes per day is what we recommend.
With that said, many people do see great meditative benefits from as little as 10 minutes per day. Most find the experience so pleasurable that they use the program as much as they can.
Does audio quality matter?
Audio quality is critical for proper brainwave entrainment to occur. With this in mind, our team has always taken great care of each and every step of the audio creation / rendering process. While the final file encoding is just one aspect of this, it's an important one. And so, we encode our MP3s at the highest bitrate possible — 320 kbps. Because of this, some users (with slower internet speeds especially) have noticed that our audio files stream a bit "heavier" than do typical audio files. Data is not a concern though, as one 20 minute EquiSync session (50-60mb) is but a fraction of a normal person's daily internet bandwidth — and still far less than a typical video of the same length (video is much more data heavy than audio).
While all EquiSync Classic & Deepereum "Higher Quality" tracks are encoded at 320 kbps, Deepereum does have a "Faster Loading" option (encoded at 192 kbps) for those who run into streaming problems (i.e. interruptions, stopping/starting of the track, etc). While many users see great results from this setting, we suggest using the "Higher Quality" (320 kbps) setting whenever possible. Quality is vitally important and we have gone to great lengths to meticulously preserve / maintain maximum integrity of the brainwave entrainment audio layering.
How do I know if/when I've achieved a proper state of meditation? How is meditation supposed to "feel"? What is the "mind awake, body asleep" state?
You may have seen the stories of the meditating monks sitting in a big name University lab, head full of electrodes — surrounded by a group of amazed labcoat wearing neuroscientists. Doctors are fascinated with meditation not only because of its incredible benefits, but also because of its very clear and distinct measurables. And so, when it comes to "knowing" when you’ve entered a "proper" meditative state, short of going to a lab for the same tests (which would show a strong synchrony of alpha, theta, & delta brainwave activity), perhaps the best marker is what we call the "mind awake, body asleep" state. Here’s what to look for:
The "Mind-Awake, Body-Asleep" State
(Note: These "meditation markers" don’t need to happen in any particular order).
- We begin to observe a dramatic slowdown of our rate of breath.
- We start to feel our body falling "asleep" (i.e. feeling a physical sense of "heaviness" or "lightness") while our mind stays conscious & alert.
- We begin to notice more and more space between our thoughts (i.e. occurring less frequently) and when thoughts do occur, they have less physiological impact on the body (i.e. heart rate stays the same no matter what enters our mind).
- We start to observe our conscious state moving more and more into "mindfulness," as defined here:
"Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you're mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging or labeling them as good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience." — Psychology Today
In this "trance-like" state of consciousness we can effortlessly find life solutions, release stubborn dysfunctional thought patterns, dig deep into our intuition, visualize creatively, have profound insight(s), become immune to stressful/fear based thinking, naturally balance our body’s chemistry, heal ourselves on the deepest level, and much more.
Clearly, achieving a meditative state (a.k.a. the "mind awake, body asleep" state), if for even a few minutes per day, opens the door to countless benefits: mental, emotional, and physical. And the more we practice, the more efficient / deep that our meditation session(s) will be.
No Expectations. With that said, it's important to approach meditation without expectation. If we think that our practice is "supposed" to be a certain way - then we may begin to force things a bit. Obviously, much like falling asleep, "forcing" yourself into a meditative state tends to have quite the opposite effect.
When we focus on the basics of mindfulness (noticing the sensations of the body, letting thoughts come and go, observing the inward and outward flow of the breath, etc), that’s when meditation naturally occurs. So relax, expect nothing, and let it happen naturally!
Will EquiSync help me sleep?
Improved sleep is one of the first benefits new meditators report. While night meditation sessions (before bed) are a bit better for this particular goal, practicing at any point during the day will work. In other words, the benefits from your day meditation session will ultimately benefit your sleep cycle. It's the stilling of the mind and the quieting of an overactive physiology that make meditation such a potent deep sleep tool. As an added benefit, new meditators often report a clearer memory and recall of their dreams — which can provide powerful solutions and deep insight into waking life.
If you're going to use our program for better sleep then we recommend keeping your sessions within the normal range, in terms of time (20-45 minutes per day). Just like anything, including physical exercise, brainwave technology has a point of diminishing returns. It is possible to overuse the programs (i.e. looping the programs as you sleep). With a focus on the so called "sleepier" brainwaves of theta (especially) and delta (if you're an advanced user), keep your sessions short. Do this, and your sleep will be infused with meditation's massive array of benefits even if you practice early in the day (though better at night).
How do I choose which EquiSync Classic tracks to use? Is there a set program that I have to follow?
There are a couple of ways to use the program:
A. Structured, progressive approach:
If you would like a more structured routine then here is what we suggest (depending on the version that you have):
Latest Release (Third Edition): 18 tracks x 3 days each ≈ 60 days to complete the full series
Ensuing Release (Second Edition): 27 tracks x 2 days each ≈ 60 days to complete the full series
Initial Release (First Edition): 9 tracks x 6 days each ≈ 60 days to complete the full series
Once you have completed the full series (from the first alpha track to the final delta track), you can then focus on your favorite tracks indefinitely, switching them up as you wish. EquiSync provides enough brainwave stimulation for a lifetime of fresh meditative gains.
B. Intuitive, preferential approach:
This is the approach to which most gravitate, especially our most successful users. Simply put, experiment with some/all of the tracks for your particular series, and focus on what you like and/or what gives you the greatest benefit. You will quickly find that certain tracks / brainwave frequencies really resonate with you. And so, put your time and energy into what works. Much like physical exercise, meditation has an endless staircase of benefits.
While doing a two month structured program may be a good way to get started, you will ultimately switch over to the intuitive method at some point on your meditative journey. Focusing your time/effort on just a handful of tracks (that you really like) is perhaps the key to the greatest benefits because ultimately, consistency matters more than anything. If you enjoy your daily meditation session then you will naturally be consistent with it.
The EquiSync experience is so pleasurable. I'm curious, can you tell me more about what I'm actually hearing (the layers, etc.)?
It's generally a good idea to be aware of the various layers comprising EquiSync audio technology.
Nearly all tracks contain some type of ambient music and/or nature background (calm ocean waves/ relaxing rainfall/ deepmind drumscape(s), etc), carefully curated for deep meditation. Typically this layer would be the most prominent. A smaller number of tracks (particularly the second edition of EquiSync Classic & the Vibrasphere tracks on Deepereum) contain our "Synchrowave Modulation" feature — which sounds like a slight rhythmic volume oscillation, up and down, of the smooth ambient background music — synced directly with the entrainment carrier frequency (i.e. an alpha track would vibrate faster than theta which then vibrates faster than delta).
At varying fractional volumes are the deepest EquiSync layers containing the isochronic, monaural, and binaural harmonically resonant tones. Though less prominently audible, these powerful sublayers have a very beneficial effect on the brainwave patterns, whose distinctive architecture & construction are one of the many potent EquiSync features. This is the layer that Deepereum allows you to easily configure. In terms of which tones are in EquiSync, we have carefully chosen frequencies that are the most popular among the meditation community, frequencies built upon the most solid mathematical foundation, frequencies that are most resonant / congruent with their respective soundscape, and frequencies with the most compelling scientific and anecdotal evidence.
If we had to give one piece of advice, it's best not focus on the EquiSync audio itself. During meditation (with or without our program), the observation of the mind, breath, and body should be the primary focus. When you focus on the basics of mindfulness — such as the sensations of the body, the ebb and flow of thought, the inward and outward flow of the breath, and so forth - then your brainwaves will be much quicker to mimic the entrainment stimulus, readily guiding you into various states of meditation. Let EquiSync fade into the background of your awareness and you will see much better meditative results.
What are the differences between the individual EquiSync Classic tracks?
Generally speaking, the differences between the tracks, outside of Alpha, Theta, and Delta layering, is mostly in the design complexity, the degree to which each EquiSync brainwave entrainment feature has been implemented. You could say the tracks increase in intensity as they move forward (i.e. the final theta track on a particular series is more complex than the first theta track). With that said, when choosing tracks, we suggest focusing on those that "resonate" the most with you, regardless of its design complexity. Some people respond better to a simple design, some respond better to a more complex design, for many it makes no difference. Better to focus on tracks that you like.
I have a habit of losing files. If needed, can I come back to for my EquiSync purchase in the (perhaps distant) future?
Yes! After checkout you will receive an order receipt. Keeping that will be the easiest way to reaccess the files (even years from now). Of course, if you lose your receipt then no problem. We still have users from many years ago that come back after a computer crash or losing their original purchase info. We are always happy to resend your order receipt / downloads / login instructions.
Your 60 day 100% money back guarantee sounds great. Is it easy to redeem if necessary?
If you are in the 1 out of 100 of people who would like a refund, for whatever reason, all you have to do is contact us and let us know. Very easy.
The benefits of meditation are incredible. Do I need EquiSync to achieve these benefits?
You don't need any product to tap into the limitless benefits of meditation. With that said, EquiSync is designed to dramatically shorten the learning curve. Today, hundreds of thousands of people all over the world use our powerful audio tracks to improve and enhance their lives on all levels — taking advantage of the deep, highly pleasurable states of meditation on offer. Whether you’re a meditation rookie or a life-long practitioner, EquiSync can take you to the next (and highest!) level.
The science behind meditation and brainwave entrainment audio technology is amazing. Where can I learn more?
EquiSync's design is based on the 100's of studies showing the effectiveness of brainwave entrainment technology, and 1000's of studies showing the powerful benefits of meditation. If you are interested in better understanding the power of this technology and rapidly expanding field of research, then
here is a very abbreviated bibliography, a very small sample of the studies out there.
What kind of headphones do you recommend for EquiSync?
EquiSync is indeed designed to be listened to through headphones. Standard (open air) speakers should not be used because each ear must perceive different tones for the technology to work.
What To Avoid: Because it distorts the brainwave technology, we recommend using headphones WITHOUT bass boost and/or noise canceling. Of course, if your noise canceling headphones / bass boosting headphones have an on/off switch then turning the feature OFF would work without problem. Note: The "monaural beat" and "isochronic tone" options work fine with noise canceling headphones (less so for bass boosting headphones).
Our Recommendation: With the goal of the least sound leakage, it's best to choose headphones that isolate the sound as much as possible. As such, headphones that enclose most of the ear are recommended. An inexpensive alternative are earbuds/earphones, the kind that fit inside the ear canal. The headphones you choose certainly don't need to be fancy and/or expensive.
Which meditation level / brainwave should I choose?
Brainwaves: We recommend either alpha or theta waves for most all users, especially those new to the technology. Because delta waves are a bit more difficult to entrain (even for seasoned users), it's better to gain a bit more experience before using them. So if you are new, alpha and/or theta for now.
Will I always have to use EquiSync to maintain the benefits achieved?
You can think of brainwave synchronization as a training session for the brain. And so, just like physical exercise does for the body, meditation with deep brainwave audio brings temporary benefits that last for a few hours, short term benefits that last all day, and long term benefits that last for much longer. You will not always have to use the audio tracks to maintain the benefits achieved with them. In fact, you will need less and less use in order to maintain upkeep (if you ever find a place where you feel like you're happy then it's your choice to continue). However, like the runner who can't wait for that daily run, most people find EquiSync so pleasurable and beneficial that they keep coming back to it every day. The key is to find tracks that you really like / resonate with so that sticking with it becomes natural.
EquiSync highlights a feature I am very interested in: "natural brainwave patterns." Can you tell me a bit more about that?
Many programs today focus on one brainwave frequency per audio track, usually Alpha, Theta, or Delta. It's important to know that our brains are very complex, and brainwave patterns do not emit just one frequency at a time. When electrodes measure the electrical oscillations of your brain, as done with an EEG, all the frequencies we have talked about would be present in varying degrees (beta, alpha, theta, delta, etc). This can be called your state of consciousness. The design of EquiSync incorporates the natural brainwave patterns that would mirror a highly advanced meditator, as measured in the lab.
Can I use EquiSync for reading, writing, art, or creative activities?
Though the program is best used during meditation, some people use EquiSync for passive or creative activities — like reading, writing, studying, or art. If you use them during meditation as intended, then the brainwave benefits will carry over into your other activities, and really, all areas of your life. Meditation is an incredibly potent practice.
When using EquiSync I have a wonderful new sensual awareness, can you tell me about more about that?
There is an incredible array of physical sensations, thoughts, energies, and feelings one can experience during all levels of the meditation journey, especially for beginners. Much is based on user expectation and the dramatically heightened mental, emotional, and sensual awareness achieved through meditation. It's important to know that what EquiSync is causing you to experience is completely natural, not so different than what is experienced at night during sleep when many of the same brainwave patterns are present.
The difference is that, during meditation, your conscious mind and subconscious mind are both infused with a powerful waking awareness, and much of that highly important "deep mind information" normally closed off during your nightly sleep cycle is now suddenly available to you. This is a very good thing. The vast array of physical sensations, thoughts, energies, and feelings experienced (by new meditators especially) are all indeed very natural, normal, and part of what we all experience on this wonderful journey into the deep mind.
Is my credit card information safe?
Your information is safe. We use 256 bit SSL Encryption to prevent third parties from seeing credit card information. In fact, we do not even see your credit card information (it's not stored). During the checkout process, there should be an icon (usually a lock) at the top of your browser which tells you whether or not the site is secure (which means that your information cannot be seen over the internet). Your browser should indicate our website as safe.
I'm having problems ordering with my credit card. Suggestions?
The most common reason for orders not going through is the billing address not matching what your bank has on file, as our system does indeed verify if they match (for fraud protection). You will know your order went through when you get an email confirmation. If this doesn't work then you can try clearing your cookies. If you are unsure how, do a search on google for "clear cookies _______" and replace the blank line with your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.). Then try the checkout process again. We would also recommend using a different browser, such as Firefox or Chrome — which both work particularly well. Of course, you can always use Paypal to order, which is available on the checkout page.
Brainwave entrainment modes:
Binaural Beats: What are binaural beats and how do they work? Put simply, when two slightly different tones are introduced, one per ear, after a certain amount of time the brainwaves will mirror the difference between the tones. For example, if a 200 Hz tone is played in your right ear and 190 Hz in your left, after a few minutes your brainwaves will naturally entrain to the difference between these two tones (200 - 190 = 10 Hz). In this case, with 10 Hz being an "alpha" brainwave, assuming successful entrainment has occurred, we could say, with confidence, that the first stage of meditation had been achieved. Known by the scientific community as the "Frequency Following Response (FFR)" effect, this response forms the basis for brainwave entrainment.
Enhanced Binaural Beats: Many binaural beat users find that, assuming that maximum binaural beat integrity is maintained (very important!), a far deeper meditative state can be achieved through certain upgrades to the audio. For this reason, we have included two advanced binaural beat options:
Vertical Modulation: With this feature implemented, the waveform will resemble more of a monaural beat than a binaural beat. However, unlike a monaural beat, the left and right audio channels are delivered to each ear separately (meaning that it's still binaural, of course!). Many users find this extra modification to be especially hypnotic (versus standard binaurals), and therefore, very helpful for deep meditation.
Horizontal Modulation: Instead of a static left/right volume (as with standard binaurals), the horizontal modulation feature rhythmically oscillates the volume from side to side, ear to ear. Assuming maximum left-right binaural beat audio is maintained (as done with our program, this is very important!), many users find this feature to be especially hypnotic and therefore, like vertically modulated binaurals, very helpful for deepening the meditative state.
Whether it's standard or enhanced binaural beats, you are encouraged to find what works best for you!
Monaural Beats: Unlike binaural beats, which work by introducing a slightly different tone to each ear (and later combined by the brain), monaural beats are mixed into one sound (in the open air) and combined by the ears - before reaching the brain. Monaural beats are more discernible (noticeable) than binaural beats, and form the basis for musical cords. You can see the basic difference between the generation of a 10 Hz (alpha wave) monaural beat and binaural beat in the chart below:
Sidenote: Binaural beats played over open air speakers automatically become monaural beats!
Isochronic Tones: In simplest terms, an isochronic tone is a pulse of sound turned on and off quickly and evenly. Compared to monaural beats (which have a more smooth and flowing sound quality to them), isochronic tones have a much sharper and steeper sound quality to them. Because of their extra intensity (as compared to other entrainment methods), most people prefer to listen to isochronic tones at a lower volume. For those who wish to jump right into isochronic tones, generally speaking, we recommend using monaural beats before working your way into this stronger entrainment method. This is doubly true if you are new to this technology.
Headphone Note: Because they both work to a certain degree without headphones, isochronics and monaurals offer a bit more flexibility than binaural beats.
The first chart below illustrates the basic waveform of a monaural beat and isochronic tone at a 10 Hz frequency (alpha brainwave), respectively. The second chart illustrates the basic delivery of binaural beats vs monaural beats.
Combo: For achieving maximum meditation depth (through this sound technology), some have theorized that a multitiered, multipronged entrainment approach to be the best approach. The "Combo" option was created with this idea in mind. Instead of just one type of brainwave entrainment mode controlling all carrier frequencies at once (as with the other options on the interface), this feature allows each carrier frequency to have its own respective entrainment method (whether binaural beats, monaural beats, or isochronic tones). The distinct and pleasing quality of the combo method's sound makes it a natural fan favorite.
Note: The "Combo" feature is only available when the "Harmonic MultiLayering" option is enabled (and disabled when "PureTone" is selected).
If this technology is so important and powerful, why have I never heard about it before?
The healthcare industry is more focused on profit than wellness. You haven't seen EquiSync on a nightly news commercial because we don't make exorbitant sums of money like modern day drug companies. Business investors would much rather put their money into a company that can keep customers buying expensive medications for life than a company offering a handful of life-transforming CDs at a fraction of the cost. As a matter of fact, we have more orders from PhDs and MDs than you can imagine!
Why is EquiSync widely considered the very best deep meditation brainwave program out there?
Some companies offer very expensive brainwave audio products, with 10+ different "levels" that must be purchased. With some costing $2,000+ and taking many years to finish, we believe this is a waste of precious time and hard-earned money. In the early days, it was our thorough testing and "reverse-engineering" of these high-end programs that helped to formulate EquiSync's unparalleled design. Considering the incredible consciousness raising/ world improving potential of this technology — we believe the more people with access to the program, the better for us all. With EquiSync you get a powerfully designed, all-inclusive, cost-effective alternative that is more effective than the high-priced brainwave audio programs on the market today.
